<More in hope than expectation>
I have a very large client who want to move their message board solution to VB.
They like the product very much however they need to be able to post moderate the forums.
Currently they employ several mods who can post moderate their message boards using a cutom coded system. This system basically allows them to check each message after it's been posted and either edit it/remove it or leave it in.
I know this is signficantly different from the current pre-moderation system but I was wondering if there was any plans to provide such a system in VB?
If it is not planned for can anyone give me a feeling about how big a job it would be to code this?

Dave, why can't they just read the messages post-posting and edit/delete as necessary?

There is a system in vbulletin, that allows you to moderate posts before they appear on the board.

I don't understand what you're looking for then. As it is, if you moderate new posts then mods or admins have to approve the posts before they can be posted. Isn't that what you're looking for?

No
The current system is called SMT (super Moderator Tool) a set of Perl scripts that when accessed show all the posts in the forums that have been posted since the last time the posts were checked. The moderator(s) then moderate every post - either allowing the post to remain as is or remove it. Legally we have now checked every post and are OK.
Premoderation is deemed to not be acceptable as it slows down the flow of posting.

But isn't removing posts afterwards still interrupting the flow of posting?

Dave, I still don't understand why posts can't simply be read using something like "new topics" and then edited/deleted as necessary!
