Currently I'm using phpBB2, and I'm thinking about switch to vBB soon...

But I have question to ask before decide to pay $$$ ^_^

Can I import all data from my current forums to vBB correctly? My friend site has just switch to vBB from phpBB2 and importing was a 9mare to him... and finally, he decide to use vBB as a new board, and lock old board for reading.

This cannot happen to me as my site is for my business, it will trouble my customers.

So if the answer for above question is NO, is JelSoft offer some kind of service to migrate phpBB2 to vBB?

We do offer an importer to go from phpBB2 --> vBulletin. What version of phpBB are you currently using?

I imported from phpbb2, and was perfeftly fine, only problem which did happen was that the forum order was lost, and a few topics turned sticky.

i had 80,000 posts (8,000 topics) and 2,000 members.

The import procedure is very smooth, and sorting out any problems takes less than an hour. Managed to get my vb live (with all posts & members) within 30 mins of closing my phpbb.

To be fair, we do have to say it's not always as smooth as that, but whatever problems you run into you will get sorted out quickly with help from all of us here. :)

I'm using phpBB 2.0.3 now...

My board have about 12000 topics with about 125000 posts...

My friend told me when he finish imported, ALL THE POSTS become sticky, the forums order was lost (it's not problem here), and Unicode UTF-8 become unreadable...

Making all sticky posts problem can be fixed via one simple db query.

It can also Naff up your polls.

But all problems (but the polls as far as i know) are easily fixable.
