1) If I don't pay for you guys to do updates once I have a VBulletin license, does it mean that I can't upgrade at all? Or am I allowed to do the upgrades myself?

2) do you have supported-bug free mods that I can add to my forums like itemshops and rpg hacks? If you do, are they done by PAID employees or are they done by members.

3) Do I have to pay to have it installed, or can I just purchase the license for an unlimited period of time and then install it myself?

4) Can I constantly change things on my site if I follow the directions on your mods correctly? (such as quick topic reply boxes, and spoiler code boxes, and file attachment mods etc.)

I guess my most important issue is that when I do the mods with my phpBB board, often I get errors when I follow their directions exactly. How well do all of your mods work, and if I have a very customized board with lots of features that I choose to upgrade to the next new version of VBulletin, will all the modifications still work correctly? (I want to be assured that professionals are coding the mods, not the users, and if the users are coding them, do you have ones that you approve as official hacks that you support if I install one and then it doesn't work)

1. The paid upgrade is optional. Most customers handle upgrades themselves.

2. We do not provide official syupport for hacks and hacked forums. You can get help at the hacking site - vbulletin.org - but if you have any problems then we may ask you to remove the hacks before providing support here.

3. The paid installation service is also optional. Most customers install the forums themselves.

4. You can change the code all you want. However we do not provide official hacks (i.e., 'mods') or support for hacks.

In general all hacks are overwritten when you upgrade to a new version. You would have to reinstall your hacks after upgrading.

Since your questions are primarily about hacking, I suggest you check out the hacking site:
