question about copyright test

I know this has been asked before and i have seen alot of sites do this i just want to make sure that it is legal before i do it.

Can you take the copyright text and put it in an image as long as you don't change it? To make it like part of a footer? Of course it will be easily visible to anyone looking for it.

That's fine, as long as the text is the same and it's visible.

Thats what i thought. :) its good to know that i can put it into an image and not have to worry about getting yelled at by anybody for doing something illegal.
