Hi all,

Start nominating away. Please don't forget to second those boards you think are worthy of being in the contest. I will also be a bit late with the pull of the hat since I will be on vacation until the 23rd. So please be patient till I get back.:)

Nomination guide lines

1. This month only 5 nominees will be accepted.
2. You can nominate your own board, but you must sit out a month before you can nominate it again.
3. If your board wins, it cannot be nominated again for a year.
4. If somebody else nominates your board the month after you nominated your own, the nomination will be accepted.
5.***Important!***Nominations will only be accepted for 4 days after the start of this thread. Deadline is 22:00 Hours GMT on the 20nd.
6. A good board is based on whatever makes you happy.;)
7. When you make a nomination please include the Board URL and maybe a reason why you like the site.
8. A nomination must be seconded by a non-biased person before it will be accepted as a nomination. That means the second must come from somebody who is not affiliated with the board being nominated. (I know this will be difficult to inforce but please comply.)
9. You can nominate as many boards as you'd like but please second only one or two. (This is not a definite rule and therefore won't be inforced. It is more like a polite request. I added it because the question, "How many boards can I nominate or second?" always seems to come up.)
10. All seconded Nominations recieved within the 4 days will be thrown into a hat and 5 final nominees will be pulled. This selection will be 100% random!

We have everything from unique features like a PHP & JScript ran Instant Messaging System, a PHP based Treasure Hunt, and a fully functional Battle System for release within a week. Though the most unique system would have to be the Battle System. It's RPG based using multiple amounts of sprites. The custom built Itemshop and Money System are also tied into the Battle System allowing for more options and more fun.

Our forums are tied into our mainsite via a unique programming system never used (to our knowledge) by any other site. Everything is tied through the ultimate power of the template system provided by our vBulletin core. This makes for easy file manipulation and HTML fixes.

It's the best french site for vBulletin users. A good team gives many tips to newbies and contributes to ameliorate vBulletin by hacking it or translating hacks. This site respects copyright of original authors and never tolerate any kind of piracy or warez.

The best usefull tool is the french translation of the standard style (by Corbu, the webmaster). A very valuable site for french community.

This forum has just changed it's own style. It's more professional than the precedent one.

Hello if someone can clarify the rules for me. I know we aren't allowed to to go and push users to vote for us, but theres nothing against letting users know that the forum is being considered is there?

IE would it be against the rules to make a sig (say a screencap of who you could vote for) and link it to the actual thread?? It wouldn't be telling people to vote but it would let them know the forum is being considered.

you can state the fact that your board is up for the running any where you'd like. You just can't say,"Go and vote for us." Hope that is understandable.

DPQ as much as I "used" to like yaxay it's just ridiculous now. No-one addresses my concerns in your feedback forum. There is so many bugs with the system. And by simply turning back to the v1 style it's like being on a 12yr olds first vb site. Broken images etc. I mean have you been in the gallery or tutorial db on the v1 style?

It's appalling for a site that is mean to pride itself on proffesionalism.

it's not OUR fault that yaxay is that way.. its the new admin.. he bought yaxay and hasnt done jack sh|t for it.. he just sits there saying he owns it.. its anoyying and hes not doing anything to help us..he bought it so you could put ads on it.. just like a typical business man.

I second WiredGamers. Good job, guys.:)I noticed it too but if you will look further I believe they were seconded a second time by a non-biased person. So I let the nomination stand. Again this was supposed to be a courtesy type thing that non affiliated people should only second.

Hrm? As far as generaly cornerns in the comments forum, we are addressing them as best as can now since we actually have people who have admin powers to the board now. (FYI me and xelation are supermods now) We'd gotten 4 new mods alone in the past month and a half, and a major cleanup has happened on yaxay.

FYI from checking the forum your concern was pop email/coding issues in yaxay v1. Yaxay v1 was merely kept around for the slow connection but was ALWAYS 'use at your own risk' for stuff added in v2.
Some people were willing to take the risk. Some people were willing to take the hassles of it merely because it was alot faster to load.

It does suck, i'll give you that. It should have been fixed. However Carlos was never cornered about it since his primary focus was v2. It seemed, at the time, a better solution then only allowing v2 as the skin.

As it is, Carlos isn't the owner anymore. Yaxays been down off and on the past week because of the server move, once its compeletely moved the new admin will take over. I don't think we can blame any of the current and past coding issues on him *scratches head* he hasn't even gotten completely access to the board yet. I've traded emails with him and he seems more the willing to finish up yaxay lite.

If your concerns with v1 were never taken care of its because v1 was never meant to replace v2. Yaxay lite was suposed to be the skin for 56kers in v2.
