Hi,

Will the majority of the search engines spider php pages?

Thanks.

I believe that they will unless you have a "?" or "&" in the URL. I think that AltaVista has upgraded their system and they may be able to handle the special characters, but most of the other won't. The two best sources of information on Search Engines on the internet are:

http://www.SearchEngineForums.com
http://www.SearchEngineWatch.com

Take care, everyone.

Either way check with your host- the good people at http://www.rts.com.au who host my pages have configured the apache servers to parse .htm files as PHP - so I can save my files as .htm which the engines will happily index away.

I believe many other hosts already do this.
