Call me crazy and all but I happen to like the current control panel. It lets me in and allows me to get work done. The fact that it loads in less than one second for me is a big plus. By adding the weight and bloat of Flash would just make it more difficult to do work. Those kinds of effects are more suited for bloated desktop applications than a system where bytes count and time is precious.

By default it could use an iSQL Window but I added that so am happy.

Flash could be heavy but could me less more than a jpg file i have done a hole site in less them 50 k so i dont mind about the speed and whatever i have a db that generate my flash stuff i will show when its ready and you will see the light :)

Here the first draft ok the pic is very low quality but some of us still us some old tech i think their call that a 56k v90 biz ;) lol so here is it but the header isent done yet still working on this one and for those who ask them self why waiste time on the admin panel a tell you i see it....i can tell you how many times in a day so i want to have a cool look and feel :) its only for that.....




this images is edited corp and many otherthing is missing :( so i will try to make a better one whet i get my control pannel done....if this get the attention of some people :)

for people with smaller screen resolutions, that kind of CP would not work. It would leave the center too small

there tow possibility that i want to explore cause....for my resolution i have set it tow 1024/728 and sometime i want to return to a single side menu....

for the lower resolution and for me i will put the menu in a dhtml layer that slide from the edge and open with an on mouse over so the main frame will be full size :) but still working on this and the password request form i have a little bug with the hidden field "redirect" in the flash swf file but i have figure out what i have do wrong so all will be ok.....and i have a question does someone know a script that can tell me how many connection i have and how many can handle my server...finaly i want a script that give me the usage info of my site....does a thing like that exist out there ??? in real time if possible and PHP

First of all Fred the color are not set this is only the draft and i don't know if your know your flash but let me tell you that my swf wight 2 k and all generate by the php script this menu generate itself no need of coding and its better than a menu that you can scrool 1 hour i will send a new pic....

In reallity, everyone on this board is a moderator or admin. Why should we have to put up with an ugly CP?

no menno the first time i was wondering if i have to use a cp that each time i see my happiness drop cause its too hugely ;) no its just that I have a screen dedicated at my vb cp and I love the multimedia the graphic art so I decide to custom my control panel and I don't do it for the people to see it its my world its my extension your site reflect what your are in reality...sure if you do it for money or to be cool ( watch I have a web site ) you see the style and I know its not your way of thinking but some of them out there are like that.....I don't know how many time your see your cp in a day but for this week each time you see it think at how it can be cool if it was like you like Customize like you want with the function you want....its your world do it as your image I know its hard work but its for you not the whole world its your part of the site so if you like the actual design its up to you but if not I tell you its worth the effort :)


BTW if you click on the link for my site it is under heavy construction so I dnat give access to it :P but when I have done I gone show you and you will understand but I hope you have a fast connection :) I sorry for the 56k owner but its time for you to think about a fast connection :)

hi hiitisme no its only a beta :) i have some thing to add...and i not begin modify the header i have some idea on what i gone put in it but i have to figure how i gone do it
and how i can give this to people cause you have to edit many thing so i will try do a kind of basic hack and the people can modify the rest by themself anyway i gone finish it before and after i gone see what can i do ;)

this weekend i have to move my site to a real space....a pay space ;) cause the free space provider realy s*c*

I dont think there is anything wrong with wanting to make your vB Control Panel look different better or more comfortable!

Here is mine edited to match my vB colors & to tone down on the brightness that hurts my eyes!

i use a 1024 x 764 resolution but i have test it on a 800 x 600 and still look good and on a 640 x 480 its ok.......

if it looks good on 800*600 then its fine, thats what most people use
I was really just warning ya, as I use a big resolution anyway, so it wouldn't bother me at all
