Note that I didn't reinstall that hack after the past upgrade so that thread shows {bbusername} now instead of the reader's name. It was a classic though! I got a lot of people with that one. :D

I think it was done with a query by adding '1' to the thread number of all posts made between two dates. I Can't remember how it handled the first post in a thread but, yeah, it was sorted out after.

It had to have been more complicated than that.
Simply adding '1' couldn't have sorted it out by its self.
Whatever it did, it was effective.
Just wish I could find it again.

I tried that hack once. I had so many people whine, bitch, complain, moan, groan, whine again, and bitch again even after I put in a tooltip that said "Fooled you, this is an auto-username hack" that I gave up, said fark it, and uninstalled the hack. One person commended me for trying to have a little fun versus 12 people that complained within the first HOUR of having it installed :rolleyes:
