Hi all,

It was suggested by someone that I post this in here, so I am. I have been a lurker for a few months, but had a contribution to the new 3.0 style thread to make. Went to the bottom of the page, clicked "post reply" and this is what I got (below). Any ideas? I can pm, but this inabilility to post has happened before. I have just tried this again at one or two other random threads - one I could post, one I couldn't.

Am looking forward to vB3 and the opportunities it will have to help build my community.

Regards,
Richard...

ps. hear, hear, for simple and user-friendly interfaces. how about a quite white, clean design, nicely broken up by sections and no too 3dish. sort of winxpish, but not so much. hehe. i'll shut up now. also this post page needs to be made a tad simpler, cause this will confuse a lot of people. ok really shutting up now

To be able to post in the support forums you first need to register for Priority Forum Support. To do this, please go here:

...and enter your email address (the one you used to register on the forums) in one of the boxes. You'll need to have your customer number and password to access that page.

Ahh, there we go, I am not a vB customer (yet anyway). I didn't know that, its not particularly obviously that it is a members only thing, as I have more than once wanted to post an idea. ah well...

it would be good to have the ability to have a kinda open notice section at the top of each page, that a person could easily and quickly read what the admin / mod wanted people to know about that particular area.

I have this same problem. I wanted to add a suggestion to the vB3 style suggestion topic and think it's a little silly to prevent non-vBulletin users from expressing their opinions on such issues. I run UBB on my site but will be moving over to vB3 assuming the style is a good one and have a couple of suggestions for what I'd like to see.

I find this elitist restriction disappointing.

PS - yes this reply page is way too complicated as with many other pages of vB. Great features, poor layout. I hope the new vB3 style will be totally customisable so all the non-essential features can be turned on & off by the admin. E.g. message icons, post subject, WYSIWYG panel, thread ratings etc.
