Dedicated server:
1.7 Celeron
512 Megs RAM
60 Gig 7200 RPM IDE
Would this machine handle a growing community? Right now I have 40 to 50 on at a time and it is growing fast. We ae beating my current virtual server to death.

Hey Eva. I dont know what versions, yet. I am looking into dedicated servers and I wanted to know if the hardware was 'good enough' to hold me for a while.
WHat does the cookie timeout have to do with how the server handles users?
And thanks for responding!

cookie timeout determines number of users displayed on vB online... default is 15mins..
so when you see 50 members + 50 guests = 100 users online on vB that is over 15min interval.. so you can the figure is inflated as you increase your cookie timeout.. i.e. 2hr cookie timeout will show users on the forum in the past 120 mins instead of 15mins
