Problem

I have a file archive.txt which i'm uploading to my forums directory. Once uploaded i need to rename it to just:

archive

Now when i try to rename it to archive it disappears from the filelist and then upon a refresh it re-appears as archive.txt. Now it lets me name it archive2 but for some reason not archive

Also when i try to upload it just as archive which your not really meant to it says invalid file type or something like that.

Why would it be doing this?

Try Archive instead of archive.

Do you have a directory named /archive ?

Oh my gosh i can't believe i overlooked such an easy solution. Yes i had a directory called archive. Thanks Overgrow!
