Questions: Announcements/Usernames

Couple questions,

1. Can the administrator of the vBulletin Instant Community boards change my username to something else other than CorvetteNH, since that was the old name of my web site? :)

2. One of the members of my Forums brought up a good question. He has a bookmark to the "View New Posts" and any new announcements do not show up as New Posts. Is there a way to fix this or change this?

2. Announcements are not new posts which is why they don't show up. You can't change this without changing the code.

Announcements are stored in the announcements table.
Posts are stored in the posts table.
