BBCode vs. vBCode

I have seen it written both ways but which is correct?

BB because it's more universal.

I never understood why people want to call it vBB when it's vB lol.

I sometimes call it BBCode, sometimes vBCode, but I think that it's "officially" vB code.

EDIT: Wow, seems everytime I type vBB it changes to vB, wow lol.

It's entirely the same code as everywhere else, so I call it BBCode. BBC, like the British Broadcasting Corporation. :)
