Private Messaging is not currently part of vbulletin. It is available as a hack for the current version. Private messaging will be included by default in the 2.0 release coming soon.
The path to sendmail is located in the php.ini file. :)

I have made all as is written in first-time-install for PM hack, but for some reason PM options are not kept. That is what - @ value in "Receive Private Messages (PMs)" and "Receive Email On PM" it was not set, it all the same remains inactive. And at the following call in Profile, it is not active neither Yes nor No.

I am sorry, but that is a problem with a hack. You should probably try asking in the code hacking forum as a new thread!

Still having problems.
I tried following the instructions in this post for adding the ICQ and do the same with the Yahoo and AIM.
This is what my xode looks like now:
$profile $useremail $homepage <a href="search.php3?action=simplesearch&exactname=yes&searchuser=$searchuser"><img src="images/find.gif" border=0 alt="Find more posts by $username"></a> <a HREF="editpost.php3?action=editpost&postid=$postid"><IMG SRC="images/edit.gif" BORDER=0 ALT="Edit/Delete Message"></A> <A HREF="newreply.php3?action=newreply&postid=$postid"><IMG SRC="images/quote.gif" BORDER=0 ALT="Reply w/Quote"></A> $icq $aim $yahoo
But still nothing shows up where it should. My forums are at http://www.thecatsite.com/forums
Any help would be very appreciated. My users are really asking for these features...

Shoonra-
I just checked out your site, and you have set up yahoo aolim, and icq correctly. I'm sure the reasons why your users don't see the images are because when a user signs up, they are asked for their ICQ Number:
AOL Instant Messenger Handle:
Yahoo Instant Messenger Handle:
If they don't put anything in these fields, then nothing will show up. All your users now have to edit their profile and put in the appropriate information.
Hope this helps

How true Steven!
Sorry for bugging you all :)
Apparently most of my users simply didn't fill up that info on their profile.
I just ran a test, added this info to my profile and everything showed up.
Just one more question - for ICQ it shows two icons, one of them lets you add that person to your ICQ lists. What if I just want to have the first ICQ icon showing and lose the second? does anyone know?
Thanks!
