tommorrow i am adding another 1-Ghz processor.

do i need to edit my my.cnf file at all, or make any other changes?

thanks Is this under Linux, or Windows 2000?

You'll want to install a kernel that supports SMP in either case, but the directions differ on how you'd go about it.

Hi:

yes when VO did the upgrade, they recompiled the kernel so it had SMB/SMP support, do you know if by running redhats up2date , if that will autodetect that i need SMB/SMP support and update me accordingly?

or should i be upgrading the kernel manually?
