Some alternate fivelinks icons

I put together some icons for the fivelinks menu to match the [new thread] and [reply] icons on my board, and figured I would post them here in case anyone else cares to make use of them.

To get them to match your particular color scheme, just change the main color for the buttons and you'll be set.

I'm having trouble converting them to my colors. Can anyone help me? I want them to be the red color that's on my forum. Thanks for you help. (You will get a text link at the bottom of every page for you troubles.)

You can usually edit the color pallete in most paint programs. Just edit the palette, there are about three main colors to change, the Highlight color, the main color, and the Shade color. When you edit the pallete, the image will change.

In Paint Shop Pro you can find it under Colors/Edit Pallette

InsideMedia - not a prob, I made the ones I did based on existing ones anyways. And I like what you did with them too, looks pretty sharp!

I'm thinking of putting all the variations of these buttons on a web site for easy access, and adding more color schemes and such as requested. I've got a site that is currently in development and has nothing on the server, so I might as well get some use out of it while I'm paying for it anyways :D

I'll let you know when I get them posted. It would mainly just be a convenient way to browse the different sets online. I also will probably have several new buttons added to the collection at that time as well :)

I'll let you all know when I have them up, and will post any sets or buttons that anyone wants to send me as well. (vBulletin related only please :))

Just Red Blue and Green are zipped up. IM has some yellow ones, not sure where to get them all though. It pretty easy to change the color.

Hello,

I was going to try to use your grey icons on my website but when I downloaded the zip file, I noticed that you accidentally put some red icons in there too. Is there any way that you can correct this?

Also, would it be possible for you to make grey versions of the little icons that appear at the bottom of all the posts in the message board? This would help aid in a consistant appearance for my website.

Ok... This is a little different but I need a button to replace "New Reply" in some of my upcoming forums.

It needs to have an E-Mail or similar icon and the word Contact on it. I am not that good with graphics though so was wondering if someone could help out...

What graphic software did you use to make those icons/buttons, fireworks or photoshop?

May I have the raw version of those icons before they are converted into gifs? I need to translate the words inside the icons into my own country's language.
Or how do I convert those gifs back into editable graphics?

bmurray made the graphics, but I just open them in Paint Shop Pro and change the colors. Just paint over the words and add in your words in your language.

When I have a little free time Tic Tac, I'll work on those colors.

You can edit them directly in .GIF format, no need to convert. I used Photoshop, but there are shareware programs that will work as well if you do not have access to Photoshop.

If you want to change the color scheme, find out how to switch pallette colors in the software you are using, and you can switch between any colors you want very quickly.

As Blackjack said, to change the text, just paint over the existing white lettering and put your own in. There is a shadowing effect on the letters, so you may want to zoom in and take a look at how it was done before painting over the old text. When I made them, I just put the letters in, then zoomed to roughly 700% and added the shadowing by hand, and it went pretty quickly.

When I did that shadowing for the letters, I just added the word (for example) "reply" in the dark color, then in white "reply" just a pixel up and over on top of it.

James, visit www.dingbatpages.com and have a look at some of the font collections there. I'm sure you'll find a font that produces those little graphics that would suit your design.
