ummm... I think I found a bug in vB2.2.9, but it's kinda hard to show as it here as it works fine in vB3...

If you use the php tag and put a URL in it with "Automatically parse URLs" it stuffs up the URL.

If I posted the code here, it would show it fine, so what I have done is attach the code that I used to this post.

Yes, that board is hacked, but I tested it on a non-hacked board and the same thing happens.

To produce the desired results, disable automatic URL parsing when posting a message containing URLs within the [php]/[code] tags.
