I had set my custom avatar.
Then I set in my profile use avatar: NO.

In my profile it still shows my avatar's image. It doesn't show it on my posts any more (since i've disabled it) but it show it in:

http://beta.jelsoft.com/member.php?action=editoptions
------------------------

After if I've unset it, if I just check back the box use cutom avatar "yes" (shouldn't there have a "no" check available to ?) and validate it it doesn't say "You must upload your picture again" or something like that: it just validate and when you go to your post you see no avatar of course.

Shouldn't the avatar screen show your old avatar even if you have disabled it temporaly ? Lets say a user can only upload ONE avatar, (if he upload a new one it will overwrite previous avatar) but it should actually show the currently loaded avatar so user can reactivate it.

The avatar menus are confusing between custom and non custom avatars.

You got it John, this is exactly what I meant. Much better like this. What happens to the previous custom avatar once I upload a new one ? It get deleted right ?

If yes, you can close this topic ;)

Wait !!
It seems if i decide to Re use an avatar currently in the DB (after i've set "no" avatars) it won't use it back and remain on "no".

The avatar is deleted from the DB when you set 'use avatar' back to no.

Oh, ok i see.
Then it is working fine..... but I think it would be better to keep it when they say no ? So they can switch from yes / no without having to reload the avatar. Well this is how I see it, but will have no problem with having it the way it is. I'll just specify "Setting to "no" will erease custom avater currently loaded on our server".

2 points:

1) After I set the avatar I think it should be better to be redirected back to the avatar screen instead on the vb home

2) If a user is set to "yes" use custom avatar and has one uploaded, if he upload another one, it will erease the previous one right ?

1) Back top where?
http://beta.jelsoft.com/member.php?action=modifyavatar

2) If a new one is uploaded, it will replace the old one. If none is uploaded, the old one will be kept.

No, on the editavatar page. The user is on edit avatar page, submit the modification, he should be brought back to this page.

2) If a new one is uploaded, it will replace the old one. If none is uploaded, the old one will be kept.

Excellent this way. Tell me please when I can test it so we can close this thread :)

1) Well I uploaded a new avatar, checked yes to use it.... then "no"....
Back to yes: didn't worked: seems the avatar was not kept.

2) It still forward me to my vb home instead of the page I was (edit avatar page).

Seems nothing has changed ?!
