Hello vBulletin Team,
I'm pleased to check out your new system. I hope I can make it work on my system and make it scalable.
Thanks,
bettman

I wanted to see how the system feels.
Thanks again,

I'm pleased also, but with the 'retail' price of the software in its 1.x version, I'm going to let others 'try' it out first while bugs are found.

I actually prefer the way it is, as on one of my older UBB's, I hada reply-subject field enabled with the Re: [default reply here] feature.
No one bothered changing it, and it was never even used. Its best to leave it blank and give the author the choice to use it or not.

I think it should be like this:
Only fill it in if the user clicks reply w/ quote AND the person he is quoting filled one in. Then give the default "RE: foo" line.
Of course, why is this in chit chat? :)

Hostboard is no longer owned or operated by Bettman as it was sold earlier this year.
I have looked at VB and other alterternatives for a viable product to continue the service in to the future. The decision was made to stay with UBB due to familiarity. I understand the base systems vary by quite a bit in features but Hostboard would have required major modifications regardless of the platform chosen.
Thanx for taking the time to check up :)

Just to add to that, I think the UBB suits Hostboard rather well, and it is already in heavy development for the release of Hostboard 2.
But I do like the look and feel of vBulletin alot. Keep up the good work! :)

I don't see anyone on here advertising, Goldfinger.
If you're talking about my post, all I am saying is that the UBB system is our choice, that's all. I'm not promoting it and trying to get others to by their service or anything like that. :)
