Hi there,
I have the following problem: When i click on link (ie. a thread) the status bar seems to load very fast, but the pag takes like up to 4 secs to display. It looks like it's hanging on something.
Can anybody help?!!
The site is on www.maroc.nl (http://www.maroc.nl)

You might want to consider cutting back on all the hacks and the ActiveX scripts you are running.

Hi there,
I knew that would do the trick. I have about 70 hacks, which i blindly put in my vBulletin.
Extremely stupid to do!! (*marocnl punches himself in the face*)
I would say, make it an announcement and give it the following title:"DON'T F*CK UP UR vB!" :D
Thnx

Hi
This didn't help. When i look at the loading time of the page it says something like 1.3 secs, but it displays sometimes in 8 secs. . It doesn't do this all the time, let's say 3 of the 8 pages one loads.
Please help me with this.

Have you tried removing on the flash banners and replacing them with non-flash ones? It seems like that's what causing the slowness...

Hi,
You mean the flashbanner above the vBulletin board in our site? Because the flashbanner in the vB-portal (frontpage of www.maroc.nl (http://www.maroc.nl)) isn't slowing the page.

Hi,
It looks like it really helped. It was indeed slowing down because of the banneradmin script i installed. Any suggestions how to still display the banner without extra loading time? Will it help if i put it in an iframe?
