Yes, it's true--for me at least. Pressing submit to reply to any thread will freeze Konqueror. I never had this problem with vB2 but I now have it with vB3.
Anyone else suffering from this?

Problem still persists. I can reply with Mozilla, but when I try Konqueror, it freezes the browser and I have to kill the process

Turn off WYSIWYG. It's probably not compatible with Konqueror.

It's off ;)
I have the standard toolbar and that show's up. I have no problem loading the page and typing my message, but once I click "Submit", it freezes.

Sorry I don't know then. Obviously there's a compatibility issue with Konqueror. Perhaps one of the Developers has an idea.

Mozilla once had the similar thing with vbulletin 2.x
after bug submitting it turned out it was fixed for the final 1.x release.
Maybe konq has the same problem?

I just tried it with Konq. 2.2-11 on my linux box (RH 7.2) and it was fine...

The issue is with Konqueror 3.0.3.13. It also occurs in the new Safari browser from Apple using the same KHTML core.
I personally think it is the file upload box. Now that this box is not on the main form anymore, the problem probably went away.

We think this is a Javascript issue... could those who are experiencing this problem please try disabling Javascript in order to see if this is true?

I've updated the Javascript function that seems to be the problem... please do a hard-refresh of the newreply page to get the latest JS files and try posting a message with Javascript enabled.
