I am running VBulletin on my server (Version 2.2.8) and deleted my database and tried to reinsert it using my backup, however phpmyadmin kept giving errors from the backup.
The mysql file can be found here: http://www.xtrememods.com/xtr_forum201102.sql
Any ideas on why it won't work? Your help would be most appreciated.

robcvb, could you please add your email address to the list located at http://www.vbulletin.com/members/forums.php for Priority Member Support and to show you are a licensed member. This will give you access to the vB Support on these forums.
You'll need to have your customer number and password to access that page. Thanks!

I don't see anything wrong with that SQL Dump. What errors are you receiving?

I don't receive any errors, the data just simply won't go in, however when I enter bits of information bit by bit from the dump it says there is an error at line one, and adds loads of : "/"

How are you trying to restore your database?
Have you tried the following method? http://www.vbulletin.com/manual/movingservers.html

I unfortunately don't have telnet access, I use phpmyadmin.

You might want to send a copy of your database to your host and ask them to restore it for you. They should be willing to do that...

If I was to give you access to phpmyadmin, could you try it for me?

I could try but I'm not going to guarantee anything.
Open up a support ticket at http://www.vbulletin.com/members/support_form.php and send in all of the details on how to access phpmyadmin. Also, please make a note that I told you to send in these details. Thanks.

Any luck? It appears as though it wasn't restored correctly...

I replied to your ticket. If it didn't restore correctly, I'm afraid you're going to have to ask your host to restore it via SSH or Telnet.
