Hi,
there are many forums engaged with http://www.edonkey2000.com . But in new vB3 there's a problem with the posting of edonkey links (ed2k://.....).
The forum automatically puts a "http://" in front of the edonkey link, in this way it's not clickable for edonkey.
In the older vbulletin version it was no problem to post an edonkey link.
is there a possibility that this could be fixed ?

is there a possibility that this could be fixed ? We didn't intend to do that but I guess it isn't that bad that such a piracy tool is being blocked. I will still move this to bugs.

wow what a customer-friendly company *irony* whos says that this is a pure piracy programm ? this prog is completely legal, you can download a lot of free software (eg shareware, freeware, free music, etc...)
I think if this bug stays in final version, a lot of really big forums will change the board software. It's a pity that you don't care about!

If they are sites that are involved in software piracy, they should read out license agreement. If not, then it would be a pity, which is why this has been moved to the bugs forum.

Perhaps you'd like to give us a link to your forums so you can have the priveledge of proving the contrary, that there is a demand for using these links in a legal manner?

Ask yourself if it really matters that much? This "bug" probably doesn't just effect edonkey URLs but probably any foreign urls. This is a forum for the submission of bugs, not debate on the legality of P2P applications like edonkey.
