Hi all!
I have a problem with the mail service of vbulletin.
Testing mailtest.php of vbulletin i have this mex:
Warning: Mailserver rejected our "sendmail_from" setting in D:\home\eutk\forums\mailtest.php on line 17
Mail sent. Were any errors shown? If there were, mail is probably not set up correctly
Please, could you help me?
My system has this settings:
Operative Sistem: Win 2000 Sever
ISS 5.0
PHP Version 4.2.3
Mysql 4.0.5
PhP.ini Settings for smtp service
[mail function]
; For Win32 only.
SMTP = IP OF MY SERVER ; for Win32 only
; For Win32 only.
sendmail_from = info@localhost.com ; for Win32 only
Thanks in advice!
All the best.

Try using as valid email address in the 'sendmail_from; line. Restart the web server after making this change.

We have restarted the server but:
Warning: Mailserver rejected our "sendmail_from" setting in D:\home\eutk\forums\admin\mailtest.php on line 17
Mail sent. Were any errors shown? If there were, mail is probably not set up correctly
The e-mail address is ok and as shown in the settings we let free empty the field sendmail_path =

Upload the phpinfo.php file from the 'extras' directory of the zip file to your forums directory. Then post the URL here. This will help us troubleshoot the problem.

Is the mail server on a different machine? if not, then try using 'localhost' for the SMTP server. If it is, then you'll need to configure the other server to accept email from your server.

Your mailtest.php does not even load properly:
Notice: Undefined variable: address in D:\home\eutk\forums\mailtest.php on line 7Since this is a server issue I'm moving it to the Server Configuration forum.
