What a drag -_- people are so stupid, there should really be a new way to go about an admin demo, or it will just be a drag for the admins -_-

Well, it looks pretty screwy right now.

Which reminds me, when are we going to be able to see at least some SCREEN SHOTS OF THE VB3 CONTROL PANEL?

But of course what's a 13-year-old idiot to do in his free time? :)

I believe Kier posted some thumbnails on the beta site.

Yeah, I was wondering the same thing. A guest was browsing my forums, and the url they were browsing had the amp; in.

Some idiot who thinks he's great because he can hack a site with the admin login posted on the header

If you were unfamiliar with vBulletin and wanted to try it out right when it was "hacked", would you not think it has some serious security holes that allow hackers to just bring it down? At least that's the normal drift in support tickets we receive about this issue. :)

Well, why not do something like what interactivetools.com does for the demo since now vb.com is on a more powerfull server?

Instead maybe they should disallow editing userid 1 and completely redoing forumhome :)

So you can login, and look at how it all works, but not change the forum itself..

The only problem would be in generating sessions... But I'm sure there could be something done with vB 3 when released...

Well all they would have to do is make it so user id 1 can't be edited, but add a another user called test, and make it super mod or something as well, and they can just fool around with that. Then it can just reset the normal way, and maybe make an iframe like DirectPixel Said, so you can reset the preview.

But if you get rid of the ability to write to the MySQL, what good is it then? The purpose of the admin demo is to show potential customers how user-friendly it is to use the administration.

or we can just reset the demo when some one messes it up. that way potential customers can use every feature vB has to offer. i don't see why a new thread needs to be created everytime some one messes up the admin demo.
