If you have extra profile fields.....

If you have a hacked UBB and you've added extra profile fields, will they convert OK into vBulletin or must we find a way to strip them out first?

It should convert fine, as long as the positions of the default fields have not been changed.

does anyone have an example of a vBulletin with extra profile fields? John's reply looks like he's saying the default fields won't be molested, but how will the extra fields show up if there's no place for them in the profile and registration pages? I'm guessing the AIM field would transfer, since there's already a place for that...but what about fields beyond that?

and i'm not trying to be irritating about it...its just that its a major aspect of my ubb

Well my board's down because PHP is being reworked, but if I can recall correctly, I believe that AIM went in the AIM field, ICQ went in the ICQ field, and that was it....everything else that couldn't be identified was just cut off.
