Anyone here have a dedicated box with them? (or in the past)

If so would you recommend them?

I have two, and can recommend them. Go with their Burst.net service if you need a managed server, go with Nocster if you want an unmanaged server. I'm running a vBulletin site on one of the servers, and it's functioning perfectly (so far).

Hi,

I just canceled my order @ nocster.
Ordered a haloweensales box, they guarrantee 24h setuptime, but after 48h I still haven't recieved my detials. Sent 2 emails to salessupport, but they don't answer. Tried their AIM support, but thats only techsupport and they refure to find out whats goin on.

Since they can't handle sales, I really doubt they can handle techsupport with this huge amount of new boxes bein setup @ the moment.

I'm goin to order a nice rackshack system now.

Cheers,

Yea, I'm sure Rackshack will give you better support than Burst, LOL.

U really think Nocster will give much support for their price then?
Can't imagine.

If I needed a lot of support, I would have gone with Rackspace.

Hey,

I'm not needing much support, I just need a box bein setup asap.
Nocster advertises with 24h setup guarantee, but they can't make that true, read over @ webhosttalk. I'm waiting for almost 3 days now, and still nothing.

I sent several mails now, and none gets answered. And, as u can read @ webhosttalk, i'm not the only one havin this problem.

They know by now they can't setup the boxes in 24h, but they're still advertising with it. And simply ignoring mails just sucks.

Seems they even took AIM support down since this morning

Yep, I hear ya. They put up some really sweet offers. I'm not surprised their swamped at the moment. I put in an order for one (will be my second server with them), on Saturday, and they had it set up by the end of the weekend (got the confirm email when I turned on my workstation on Monday morning). I'd just call them if I was having a big problem, but if it's urgent for you to have a server up, then yes go with who has it ready first.

Well, I finally got the server I ordered a week ago. Sales support is a joke, but if you have server trouble they are pretty quick to fix it. This is my second server with them. I had trouble with sales getting the first one set up also, but suppport has been great.

I feel I got a preetty good deal on the server, a Dual PIII, 512 MB ram, and a 18 GB SCSI hd for $99 a month. I've run trace routes on it from several different places around the world today and I'm getting some pretty good results.
