Even though I hate that you charge for a message board that sucks compared to Ikonboard I found V-Bulletin for free on a site. Is this legal?

PS. If its illegal is there a way to get this software legally free?

Yes, it would be illegal to use that software, and no, you can not find the software for free legaly. If it sucks compared to Ikonboard, why waste your time with vB? *shrug*

IKonboard has more features than this. This a good message board but not good enough to charge!

When I mention you at IB they all laugh "HAHAHA V-Bulliten Sucks!"

Not legal. Never free. Report URL at http://www.vbulletin.com/contact/piracy.php .

We say the same thing about iB, but we speak from experience, have an average age that doesn't make us minors, spell it IkonBoard and vBulletin, and paid for our domains and hosting instead of getting it from namezero and Tripod. :)

This place is crazy! At least at IB you get more features and its free. They have there own web hosting and IB comes preinstalled! You probobly charge an extra 10.00 for preinstalled boards. Maybee when I win the lottery I'll invest in this place. If its ever free notfy me

No.

Edit: technically another user could transfer their license to you but that would effectively be just giving it to you as a gift.

You cannot compare Ikonboard and vBulletin. vBulletin as a commercial product is far more secure and can handle a lot more users while using up much less resources. Have you seen a really large professional forums site use Ikonboard?

If he gives you his license, he won't have one for his own site.

*deep breath*

Yes, for $85. Because my license expires in February I'd consider it a good deal and a free renewal on my part.

Before you say IB has more features, try the admin demo (http://www.vbulletin.com/admindemo/), check out http://www.vbulletin.org/ , and http://www.vbulletintemplates.com/ (not an official site but almost regarded as one). Then notice how the support staff here is paid to answer your questions on a 1 on 1 basis. Then tell me IB is better.

*somewhat proud smile*

Now that you have the URL for reporting a pirated site, do you have a question about buying vBulletin? If not this will just turn into a flame thread and IMHO should be closed.

Okay, final reply-in-a-row :D

Can your IB do this in one hour of template hacking and uploading? http://www.webdesignforums.net/?styleid=3 (*still can't get over my new style's sexyness* :D)
