Now the messenger service is being nice and I people are using to it show me ads. Going to that place will pop up so many porn ads it locks your computer up..

This is a new way of spamming now, thankfully I've never gotten it (disabled the services). Ugh, all spammers must die.

fyi, this has nothing to do with "msn messenger"

the messenger service is an old component which was used in netmeeting (when you wanted to send someone a message in wfv)


C:\>net send
The syntax of this command is:

NET SEND
{name | * | /DOMAIN[:name] | /USERS} message

C:\>


Try it, quite fun ;)

It's especially fun when you accidently send it to everybody on the same domain at once :D

You can turn it off in the Services control panel.
