hey, it wouldn't let me post in the right forum, so i was forced to put my install question in here:

i just laoded vB on my personal webserver (home puter), and i installed php, mysql, and apache. i changed the code to point to my php file, but when i go to the install.php file and click on install, it just sends me to the same page but called "install.php?step=2". and it is exactly the same. could anyone plz help me out here, thanx.

I'm pretty sure I know the answer, but please post in the Installation to show that you're licensed. There are instructions on the Access Denied page to show you where to enter your vBulletin Customer ID and password. If you don't have a customer ID and password, then you likely pirated it (vBulletin is not free).

Edit: That Steve, he's like lightning ;)

That would be my guess if he's trying to install 2.2.6, as the topic states, which you cant get anymore :)

vB 2.2.6 was not available a year ago. As I said you need to show that your are a valid license holder to get support. If you really bought a license then you *still* have access to the Members Area which will allow you to get Priority Forum Support. The only thing you may not have access to is the ability to download the latest version. However there is absolutely no reason you can't comply with my request if you bought vBulletin.
