I didn't see a License "related" forum, so I figured this was the next closest thing. I own a vB license and want to host multiple bulletin boards from my PC. I want to know first of all whether or not the license covers this (ie renting space) and if it does condone some form of this, what is the recommended setup for hosting multiple boards on 1 machine. I was looking into windows 2003 server products which out arent yet as of now, but have been using windows xp and apache server products without much luck.

i would really appreciate any feedback on this anyone can give me. also my lifetime membership license or whatever i bought expires in december or something, so i would like to know when version 3.0 is coming out so i can decide whether or not to renew my membership or go with one of the numerous FREE boards available now that appear to be vB clones

thanks for your time......

Each license allows you to run one instance of vB, i.e., one set of files on one domain with one database. Since this doesn't sound like what you are doing, then you would need to purchase a separate license for each board.

currently i don't run anything as i'm still trying to figure all the php, myswl and all this out....

what would be the recommended windows platform to go with for hosting multiple boards, if i should ever choose to do that?

I wouldn't recommend a Windows platform for any server. ;)
