Hi guys I'm Hoss, long time Mod & Head Mod/Admin at a very large BB. We are now spilitting part of the board off to another server which I'm going to run and maintain. I've done some searching here and have only found 1 post on above host. The price is nice, the CP is very nice and would appreciate any input on this sites support, uptime ,etc..
I have looked at RackShack and don't really want to go there. Have looked at Pair Networks, nice but a little pricy, plus we are currently hosted there and the service has only been fair for the money IMHO.

Thanks

I have/have worked with a few servers there, they are very decent for the price... much better support than rackshack too. And they will actually support hardware/software mods to your server.

Thanks for that jp. I have done some reading on them at http://www.webhostingtalk.com/ and they seem to get both good and bad reviews for support. Which is to be expected. Looks like I'm going to give them a try and see what happens.

they use Cogen as their bandwidth provider;therefore, if you have a large board, it will be a problem.

We currently have one box with them and last month, i have to move 2 of my clients to another box since it can't handle the traffic.

Cogent might not be the fastest or most efficient bandwidth provider for streaming video or gaming, but you shouldn't be able to notice any amount of the slightest difference using Cogent to display static web pages compared to other providers.

Actually one of the reps from BurstNet adresses the Cogent issue in this post...

And sounds like they are not very happy with it either.

i agreed with you if you onlyhave a simple homepage, nothing fancy. But if you run a large board, you will see.

I'm using them and have had too many outages and they aren't that professional. I'm looking to get out.
