Hi,

I have two servers and want to have my Database on one server and my forums on another server ... will this cause my forums to slow down ?

They in the same host just two seperate dedicated servers...

Anyone done this before ?

tx if in same network datacenter they should be fine.. normally this would be done by connecting the 2 servers via a 10/100 network card so the web server would have 2 x 10/100 network cards

i'd ask you host if they charge for data transfer between the 2 servers - you shouldn't be charged but some hosts do.. so get it in writing before you commit to such a setup

I dont think it is possible for them to be linked Peer to peer .. it will be over the network

each server has 400GB/month data transfer
