Announcements not displaying

My announcements aren't displaying on my forums as if I didn't make an announcement (which I have in fact made 2 global annoncements), I've made sure the $announcement is still in forumdisplay and it is, what should I do?

Make sure you have selected the dates to reflect TODAY to....a day much later than today.....

WHen I first put up announcements, this was my mistake.

Thanks Kathy, I wasn't aware that it was a required field, they are working now.
