Header Buttons to Text

Can anyone please tell me how I can change the Header buttons eg -- User Cp , Register , Calendar etc to Text Links .
Can I also find out how to center those header links ...

Look in the header template; the code for the buttons starts with <!-- link buttons --> if I recall correctly. :)
