I recently purchased a license for the Zend PHP Accelerator. It's amazing that our PHP applications load up to 21 times faster. I had used PHP Accelerator (http://www.php-accelerator.co.uk/), however, I found that its cache didn't encode some of my stuff correctly, therefore I decided to switch to Zend. I do like Nick's PHP Accelerator, though I am using something that works for our applications which require PHP to call our custom extensions.
The attached picture (in PNG format) displays the percentage of acceleration from Zend Accelerator. It's from their administration console (another thing the free PHP-accelerator lacks).

sweet :)
Though i'm sure Nick will fix any sort of problem with the accelerator as soon as its found, did you report it to him?

The Zend Accelerator is worth it because it really helps. It has actually reduced our server costs in maintenance (i.e. we don't have to buy another server to handle more PHP load). Even though it costs $1,000, it saves you in the end nearly $4,000 for a new server (not including cluster software, probably an extra $3,000 per server).
It's very nice and I have no complaints about the product. I strongly recommend that you use either Nick's PHP Accelerator (http://www.php-accelerator.co.uk) if you are using it for a personal site or Zend's (http://www.zend.com/) PHP Accelerator if you're using it for a business.

We use the php-accelerator.co.uk one here, and we get a very nice web admin console. Our load rarely reaches 0.5 nowadays.
