Before February?? Mebbe?

Seeing how predictions shifts back and forth all the time for the date of the 2.0 release I don't know if I should bother or continue waiting for either the beta or the final release. Can anyone tell me if any public downloadable release will be made BEFORE february of next year? It will definately help me decide whether it is worth it for me to code the changes into 1.4. Thanks!
