Hello All,
I would like to purchase vBulletin but would like to know if I can use it on Win2k Server? And if it is, what will I need to do before I purchase it. I would like to let vBulletin install it, what should I have set before I let them go?I pretty new to html so any help you have is appreciated.

well, you would need to have mySQL and PHP installed on your server. That would be a good start.
Install PHP 4.0.3pl1 (the CGI only version) and the latest mySQL binaries. Once that is done, you can start installing vBulletin.
When you install the PHP it will ask you some questions, like where your mailserver is. You need to get with your hosting company to get this set correctly.
In mySQL you will need to have a my.cnf file at the root. If your server is set up with C as a small drive, I would advise setting it up to have your database stored on D.
There are instructions enclosed in the mySQL download to setting up a my.CNF file. Also, with the latest beta mySQL, you can build it with their handy tool:)

Thanks for your reply Martin.
Im still having problems installing. I download the CGI only version like you said, nut I receive an error at the end of the installation. The MSCOMCTL.OCX is missing. DOes anyone know where I can get help installing and configuring PHP or will vBulletin do this if I buy the software
