Wow, nice progress, feel optimistic for christmas.

I noticed that 3 major feature blocks were implemented in the demo:

-Avatars
-File upload
-Co branding

Lots of bugs have been killed.
I feel really optimistic to have a release downloadable for christmas !

I've read lots of posts concerning vB2, where everyone is talking about co-branding like it's the end-all-be-all of forum features. But I have yet to actually figure out what it is! Sorry, I must have missed a previous discussion about it (which is highly likely, since I only come here periodically to check on 2.0 status).

So, what the heck is this co-branding you all speak so highly of?

Co-Branding is offering your forums/community to other sites as their own. You run the sites, you control the advertising, you staff it.

The other sites (affiliates) link to your site and send traffic to them. In return the forums/community inherits the look and feel of the affiliate site.

Ez-Board and Coolboard are essentially large co-branded community offerings.

Hey, it's less than two weeks before the holiday -- let's cut everyone some slack here.

Truthfully, I don't expect anything until after the holidays. A lot has been done since v2.0 first showed up, and I don't have any problem giving John, James and the others working on this project the holiday off!

That is unfortunate.... I have been trying to time the release of my the redesign of my website with the release of vB 2.0. I currently use UBB with a Private Messaging Hack that my users have become dependent on.

I don't feel like editing and hacking vB 1.3 if vB 2.0 will be out soon, but oh well.....
