In the case of our forums I am the main admin, and there are several people who moderate the posts. Our registration is closed and only people who we give access to can read, and post on the boards.

Lot of times I am not around and we would need to register new users. The only way this can be done with the current board is if I give administrator privileges to some other people. Those people know nothing about the board system, so if they mess something up in the admin control panel, then our whole board goes down.
If I do not give them access, then they complain for not being able to register users.

My suggestion would be is to set up a control panel where you could add features that super moderators can do. including registering new users. They could not create admins, only regular users. Maybe this could be customized too by the main admin.

This is one serious issue we are having, other than that vB is great.

Thanks,

Andras

Hopefully we'll be able to implement something along these lines in the near future as part of the Moderators' Control Panel. I'm afraid this has not been done for vBulletin 3 and is not likely to be, though it could be in 3.1 or similar.

Thank you for your reply. This option would be great. Basically my work-mates would like to be able to moderate the posts and add users. That is something I have no problems letting them to do, but to have them see all the options on the board, and be able to change them, even to shut the board down is too risky for me.

This feature would be awsome,
Thank you again,

Andras
