What's this Error?!

Here is a copy of the Error which got emailed to me from the Froums database.
"Database error in vBulletin: Invalid SQL: SELECT

mysql error: Can't find file: '/forumpermission.frm' (errno: 24)

Is this really so hard for anyone to answer. Please answer my question, this is especially essential to me, since we just started the Forums, and I don't wan't to start in the wrong direction.

Straight from perror:
Too many open files

Sounds like a sporadic error - tell your host about it. (that would be my guess)
