[Not Some Bugs] Two (2) Bugs

These are not major bugs, but things that have raised questions with members.

Bug 1: If a user starts a thread, and then edits the title of the thread later, only one of the titles it updated. The title that is shows on the thread itsself, remains unchanged.

Bug 2: If 2 identical posts are posted by the same user, only one is displayed. This may be considered a "feature" but can be rather annoying if for some reason a person needs to post the same thing 2 times.

Add another bug... under my name it shows 3 posts, but a search shows I have only 1 :confused:

1. This is controlled by the 'Time limit on editing of thread title' setting in the Admin CP. If they edit it before that time is up, then the change will be on both.

2. I confirmed this on my 2.2.7 test forum. However this appears to be controlled by the Time to wait before starting to display 'edited by...' setting. If you wait until after that time elapses, the duplicate post will show.

Moving to bugs forum anyway to get a response from a developer.

None of those are bugs, steve described the first.

The second is a feature to stop duplicate posting, if an identical post by the same person is posted in the same thread with identical details it wont appear.

Your post count is now 4.

You've made 4 posts, but 2 of them are now in private forums so they won't show up in your searches.
