How about making a forum for foreign languages?
for instance, a new category called "Foreign Support" and under it languages such as Spanish, German, Simplified chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, etc.

At the moment we cannot actually offer foreign language support so we won't create any forums for it. At the moment you can get German support at http://www.vbulletin-germany.com.

But perhaps the members could assist each other, as they do here. I mean, even I would know enough to answer most basic questions about vBulletin and its functionality.
Reason I ask is I've helped out two Spanish speakers that did not speak any English on here. One of them suggested this, but, oh well, I understand.

I don't think it's possible or practical to have bi-lingual forums here when none of the support staff speak the languages fluently enough.
What would we do if the user didn't understand us and no-one else could help? What would we do if discussions got heated and we had to moderate/close threads?
I don't think this will happen until or unless any moderators/support staff are appointed specifically for foreign languages. I don't know if there are any plans for this but I would imagine it will come at some point.

As a native Spanish speaker, I would volunteer myself.
But I completely understand your point, it would be impossible to keep an eye in there with nobody understanding what's going on in there.

I would imagine it won't be too long before we begin to venture more into the international market. vB 3 has better support for foreign languages and so hopefully at some stage we'll be able to hire some foreign language speaking staff.

I would imagine there will be some kind of announcement when we are ready.

If/when we are ready to hire staff with foreign language skills we will post a message in the Announcements forum. At the moment, we are not ready to set up foreign language forums as we are very busy working on vBulletin 3.

alright.. will keep an eye
but what about an unofficial support forum here moded by someone speaks both lingages and maybe language code modified ..
just a thought its some sort of support even this kind on the offical vB forum people can trust
the mod and users will manage it and you won't hear anything unless the mod can't help and then he will translate the questions to you
I think it would be a great asset to you.. new catagory for international and sections of several languages
untill you guys come up with the official support
I personaly have seen people not wellin to pay for it because of the lack or low support for them when they don't speak english
think about it
Thanks
