Just a quick thanks for implementing the immediate redirects after submission, makes an awesome difference to the perceived speed - not to mention the "slick" factor :)

I'd like to see vB3 implement the hack that allows the user to select where they want to go from a posting page, with default set in options. Sometimes you want to go back to the thread, but usually not.

/me likes the redirects, but don't really care either way :o

It's going to be a per-user option, thank god. (Very unsettling when you are sending PMs to not get confirmation, same with subscribing to threads and a few other things).

Is it already in the user CP or yet to be coded?

"Going to be" would be future tense, now wouldn't it? ;)

All of vB3 is "going to be," anyway :p

I think that I will have to modify it to suit my needs... Some pages need them and others don't.

Another nice side-effect of not having the redirects is that you can now click "Back" on your browser without the hassle.

Which is a major convenience.

But what you can't click is Refresh ;)

I'm going to modify it as well for me. As Kevin said they are nice on PMs etc but not essential on posts.

But what you can't click is Refresh ;)Yes you can. The browser already did the submit with the PREVIOUS URL and was instructed to divert to a new URL - thus doing a refresh won't resubmit your post because the current page was not displayed as a result of the original submission its being displayed because of a redirect.
