I need to move my forum over to my new dedicated host by the end of August. That's when my prepaid hosting runs out. I need to know what I need to do to the server to have it optimal by the time I get ready to move it.

I know how to do it, I just need to know what PHP modifications need to be made.

No, I am not talking about vB files. I am talking about configuration of the server. Like do I need to install any additional add ons, compression schemes, or the like? I have seen people talking about such things.

I have seen people talking about such things. make sure PHP 4.1.2 or 4.2.2 is compiled with at least mysql, gd, zlib support and that once your move your vb php files over that your config.php mysql username/password match the ones on your new server

other than that you should be good to go
