Coppa Users and Profile?

I'm just wondering,

If a coppa user signs up, their user name will be shown on the "Welcome to our Newest Member ...." and a link is provided to their profile, this is even when the user is still awaiting for site's admin to approve their account.

Shouldn't it be made so that the coppa user's profile would be inaccessible until they are approved? As a way of protecting their info?

Better yet, it should only show people who have been confirmed via e-mail and accounts activated (i.e., fully registered). It does help me though as the admin to quickly delete inappropriate usernames before they start posting.
