I've seen a lot of bad things about the new Pentium 4 when it comes to servers. So from a server perspective, I'd like to see the options of CPU's.
I take it celerons are out the window; I wouldn't even use one of those on my home computer.
A regular Pentium 3 seems to be favored over a regular Pentium 4. Why is this? Why would intel take a step down?
What about Xeon and Itanium processors? Too much for a webserver?
Justs how do you analyze a processor for its efficiency? I know the frequency and bus speeds have only a fraction to do with it (A 800 MHz Xeon is more powerful than a 1.2 GHz Celeron).
