Will vBulletin 3 have a more advanced attachment system, with, for example, a seperate Admin panel dedicated towards it, or the ability for multiple attachments? Just curious.

i would also like to see a better administration area for attachments.
maybe a way to list all attachments, with the ability to delete them and rid yourself of those that are just taking up space. I have people who like to attach stupid little things to every post they make.. :\

The voices in my head tell me that vB3 has much more powerful attachment control, especially in the admin CP.

Attachment management is *much* improved in vB3. You even have the ability to set quotas on a total or per user level. Not to mention there's a whole file in the CP dedicated to attachment management. :)
No multiple attachments though. I'd have to do some research, but my inclinations tell me that doing that would either make viewing attachments less user friendly or add a query per post (ie, a query in the getpostbit() function).

I have a small mod that was left over from my UBB (*gasp*) days that is an easy work-around for non-multiple attachments. In fact, my users use this method more than the VB attachments method.
Check it out here: http://forums.pelicanparts.com

Ok, so there is no ability to have multiple attachments. That's fine with me. What I would like to see is the ability to add attatchments after the original post. I see people posting twice because they forgot the attatchment the first time.

Yes, you can do that too.
