MySQL Error

Ok some how I screwed up the relation between the board and MySQL. I can’t login to the admin page of bring up any of the forums since I can’t login. I keep getting this error sent to me
Database error in vBulletin :

Link-ID == false, connect failed
mysql error: Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (10061)

mysql error number: 2003

MySQL is running locally and seems to be running fine. I have run the repair.php but it does not seem to be doing anything.

I am not very literate in MySQL or PHP our regular Admin has not see the either. Originally the problem started with a permissions issue with windows I was able to fix that but now I have this issue.

The board seems to be running fiine now. This error is usually because MySQL is down or has restarted.

You can’t log into the board though and if you click a forum it gives me this message

"No forum specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the webmaster"

We allow guest on the board.

You cant log into the admin page either.

Any Ideas?

first thing upgrade to 2.2.6 as it could be this problem described at http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=41098

Well upgrading seemed to fix the problem (what ever it was). We are now running PHP 4.2.2 and vBulletin 2.2.6
