the alt text on some things is ridiculously elongated, for example the 'usercp' button has the alt text:
"Here you can view your subscribed threads, work with private messages and edit your profile and preferences"
This belongs in the title="" attribute, which popups up in a tooltip, unlike alt="" (at least in mozilla). These make browsing with images off very unpleasent, making horizontal scrollbars appear; try out this (http://www.squarefree.com/bookmarklets/validation.html) "show alt text" bookmarklet to see the difference.. it's a big difference.
If you want to put long explanations, use longdesc="" or title="", but for alt="" just gimme 'usercp', 'register', 'faq' and 'memberlist'!
Also... the 'bullet' next to the forum path links (ie: vBulletin Community Forum > vBulletin 2 > vBulletin 2 Suggestions and Feedback) has a really long alt text.. when it doesn't need one at all! all it is is a bullet! Just put 'V' or something to vaildate :)
What would also be useful is putting 'img' in one of the standard text classes (for css) so that alt text shows up in the right font, colour and size.
Ok, so all this is fairly minor.. but I want to browse with images off! ;-)
